New Velocity Black Dyad 36 Hole Rims – 18.6mm Inner Width, 24mm outer width, shaped like their A23 rims but thicker all around. Machined braking surface. We set out to build this wheelset for heavier riders, those who carry loads or those riding on terrible surfaces. We first built a custom set for a customer who did the EFI (Every F-ing Inch) ride in Africa, riding from the northern most point of the continent to the southern tip. He had zero issues with these wheels! The Shimano 105/5800 hubs are more serviceable along the road than others, using commonly-available internal parts. These wheels are now machine-built in quantity, saving you money, but we will hand-finish each wheelset before they leave the building.
